Bus module MBM - Data collector and gateway

With the bus module MBM, all EUCHNER Modular devices can be connected to a fieldbus system. The bus module has a direct connection for a Modular device so that an MGB2 Modular or an MCM Modular can be inserted directly onto a bus module (direct plug). Alternatively, for remote mounting; assembly, several Modular devices can be connected using M12 cables (cable connected). The Modular connection technology allows, for example, up to 6 base units to be operated on one MBM bus module. Different connector variants are available for connection to field bus systems. For Ethernet-based systems, a switch is integrated so that series wiring of both the bus systems and the power supply is possible.

EtherNet/IP connection

The MBM bus module is available with one of the following EtherNet/IP connections:
Plug connector with 7/8" and M12 plug, D-coded, plug connector with Power M12 plug L-coded, 4-pin and Bus M12 plug D-coded or plug connector with Power M12 plug A-coded, 4-pin and Bus M12 plug D-coded.

MLI connections (module connectors)

An MGB2 Modular or an MCM Modular can be connected directly to a bus module (direct plug). Alternatively, the modules can be connected via commercially available M12, 5-pin connection cables (cable connect).
