safety and machinery safety (CEOM)
The four-day training course ‘Safe Operation of Machinery’ covers the basics of ensuring occupational and machine safety in production. Employees who work on machinery and plant – whether during acceptance testing, maintenance or modification – are required to comply with legal requirements.

- Hazard assessment and state of the art
- Inspections according to the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health
Day 2
- Maintenance of machinery and plants
- Design principles for machinery safety
- Integration of technical protection measures
- Verification and validation of protective measures
Day 3
- Legal certainty when converting and retrofitting machinery
- Inspection of machinery for substantial modifications and assemblies
- Assessment of an assembly of machinery
Day 4
- Conformity assessment procedure according to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
- Purchase of machinery
- New features of the Machinery Regulation 2023/1230

Requirements
Basic knowledge of occupational or machine safety, or at least two years of experience in the field of machinery
Completing the course
- Multiple-choice test at the end of the four-day course
- TÜV Certificate “Expert in Occupational Safety and Machinery Safety” if you pass the test (Valid for 5 years)
