Advantages compared to other access control systems

AS-Interface Safety at Work and Profisafe – is it necessary to use two reliable buses in one machine? A decisive yes is the answer given to this interesting question by Jens Rothenburg, Product Manager for bus systems at EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG in Leinfelden near Stuttgart. Using both systems together has several advantages. From the perspective of a Profibus user, however, the question doesn't arise because at first glance all the safety requirements can be met.
