Latest news about the Electronic-Key-System (EKS):
EKS from EUCHNER already established firmly
in many industrial sectors
Advantages compared to other access control systems

A year ago, the Electronic-Key-System (EKS) for access control in PCs and control systems was still an innovation in the product range of EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG from Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart. Within an incredibly short period of time, the Swabian company has now succeeded in firmly establishing the EKS in a wide range of different industrial sectors.
Especially in the automotive industry and its suppliers, the robust design of the reading device and its transponder key has proved suitable for industrial purposes and has become highly esteemed; but even in other applications, e.g. in systems in the food industry, the EKS and its high degree of protection, IP 67, has displayed a range of advantages when compared with other access control systems. “So there are many reasons why we should supplement the EKS range with even more, attractive modules,” said Thomas Raiser, the Product Manager of Identification Systems at EUCHNER GmbH + Co. AS-Interface Safety at Work and Profisafe in use simultaneously?
"It makes sense to use both bus systems in a machine simultaneously - the advantages speak for themselves".

AS-Interface Safety at Work and Profisafe – is it necessary to use two reliable buses in one machine? A decisive yes is the answer given to this interesting question by Jens Rothenburg, Product Manager for bus systems at EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG in Leinfelden near Stuttgart. Using both systems together has several advantages. From the perspective of a Profibus user, however, the question doesn't arise because at first glance all the safety requirements can be met. On the other hand, an AS interface bus user will always use the Profibus if large quantities of data need to be sent.
