Non-contact with big impact:
the compact CES safety switch from EUCHNER provides
maximum safety
"Every safety engineer would say the same: to protect
safety guards in safety category 4 according to EN 954-1
when mechanical safety switches are used, a redundant or
diverse design with two switches is necessary," says
Product Manager Safety Systems, Dipl.-Ing. Erich Wächter
and refers to a new product from EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG
in Leinfelden near Stuttgart. The new CES-A-C5H-01 safety
switch has a semiconductor output and an internally redundant
structure. The highest category, safety category 4 is achieved
by using only a single switch – with the

Latest news about the Electronic-Key-System
(EKS):
EKS from EUCHNER already established firmly
in many industrial sectors
Advantages compared to other access control systems
A year ago, the Electronic-Key-System (EKS) for access
control in PCs and control systems was still an innovation
in the product range of EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG from Leinfelden-Echterdingen
near Stuttgart. Within an incredibly short period of time,
the Swabian company has now succeeded in firmly establishing
the EKS in a wide range of different industrial sectors.
Especially in the automotive industry and its suppliers,
the robust design of the reading device and its transponder
key has proved suitable for industrial purposes and has
become highly esteemed; but even in other applications,
e.g. in systems in the food industry, the EKS and its high
degree of protection, IP 67, has displayed a range of advantages
when compared with other access control systems. “So
there are many reasons why we should supplement the EKS
range with even more, attractive modules,” said Thomas
Raiser, the Product Manager of Identification Systems at
EUCHNER GmbH + Co. KG
